As most literary agents and publishers and reviewers come from The Apple, I think this book is overhyped. I found it meaningless and depressing. I found it to have little, if any, story, and is more a "slice of life"--a dark, miserable life--than a feast of humanity. Tinkers, my Paul Hardy (Pulitzer Prize of Literature 2010), conversely is a complex weave of family, and life, end of life, and generations. All in 192 pages. Most books that I have enjoyed recently, Junot Diaz "Oscar Wao..", The Road by Cormac McCarthy, etc., are huumanity with a soul and a meaning and purpose. I can;t say the same for Let The Great World Spin. One lonely star for this overhyped novel.Coolkayaker1https://www.blogger.com/profile/16480679419271233314noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-322554537553386785.post-20569757993358966422010-12-26T22:34:09.285-06:002010-12-26T22:34:09.285-06:00I just bought this book and I can't wait to re...I just bought this book and I can't wait to read it.
