What Are You Reading? Monday

Monday, January 18, 2010

Not a very successful reading week-I blame it on band rehearsal, class, book club meeting, vacation shopping, and Lego Batman...

This week the only book I finished was Chasing Darkness by Robert Crais.  I'm just starting Double Daughter, by Vicki P. McConnell.  It's pretty short, so hopefully I will get to The Girl Who Played with Fire, by Steig Larsen.  My book club chose The Girl with the Dragon Tattoo as our next book, but I've already read it, so I think reading the next in the series makes a kind of sense.

Happy reading, everyone!

  2. Please don't be like me and stress yourself out about accomplishing the 100 book challenge. Last year, I was a wreck trying to read fastly in April to catch up. By the end of the year I had read 130. You can do it, just enjoy it. If you have a chance, you can come see What I am reading, too.

  3. I agree with Katrina, don't knock yourself out, you'll catch up or you will find that at times you read more than others. I ended up finishing last year a couple of months early and was very surprised!

  5. I still have In the Woods on my tbr list. My husband read it a few months ago (on my suggestion) and liked it.
My goal this year is to slow my reading down. I'm accepting fewer review books and trying to clear my own shelves. Good luck to us all : )

  9. Hope your reading week goes well.

I'm telling myself that I need to pick some slimmer ones! Last week, I finished reading a 530 page book, so I didn't get a lot done!

  10. Thanks to all of my fellow readers for the words of encouragement! You're right, it won't be fun if I get stressed about how much I am reading. I'm off work all summer-plenty of time!

  15. Cute blog! So different :)

I tried the 100+ book challenge last year and only made it to 81. I didn't care, though, I just did the best I could. I'm off to a good start this year...15 books for January. And of course I'm not DOING the challenge this year, as luck would have it! lol

Anyway, have a great week and do what you can :) Keep it fun.
