It's Monday! What Are You Reading?

Well, another week (or two-I was on vacation last Monday), and more good books, well, in the books. I was able to get quite a bit done, what with all of the porch sitting and beach sitting and boat sitting. Frankly, this real world thing sort of sucks in comparison! Here's what my view looked like last Monday...

What's coming up next? Who knows? I have no required reading right now, so I'll choose whatever strikes my fancy when I'm standing in front of the bookshelves. Plus, I just got two boxes of books from my mother, and I have not really examined them in detail. Who knows what gems could be there? I know for sure there's a Stephen King-you know how I love my Uncle Stevie!

If you ever get the chance, you should read Waiting for Columbus by Thomas Trofimuk. I recommended it to everyone. I don't know about else where, but it has been my experience that it is an excellent book that people just walk on by unless pointed out to them.

I like your vacation spot very much. Meanwhile, we're freezing down here in the middle of winter in Outback Australia (yes, the desert get very very cold).

Shutter Island is on my TBR list - I keep hearing fantastic things about it.. and how beautiful is that view?! I'm so jealous!

I've been wanting to read Shutter Island...sounds intriguing.

Real life does suck, in comparison, doesn't it? Sounds like a wonderful vacation.

I would like to read Shutter's Island by Lehane. I haven't read his books. I bet that book is awfully scarey. Your view is gorgeous. Thanks so much for sharing it.

I read Shutter Island when it first came out and was totally blown away by the ending. It's just one of those books you rarely forget about.

Those views are great! What a lovely place to read, and read, and read! And how nice that you don't have any reading obligations. I seem to have dead lines (incl. library return dates, though) all the time!

I have Life As We new It on deck to read.... a girl in my book club said it was really good. I loved Shutter Island when I read it many years ago - I hope you did too!
